Good Beach in or near Waialua


Description: D.T. Flemming Beach Park has two sides to its personality. On one hand, the waters can be very calm and thus perfect for swimming. Be careful though because the surf has a tendency to rise, causing rip tides. The beach does have a steep slop so even when the ocean is calm, there can be strong backwash, so be careful when swimming at all times. The beach itself is expansive and has lots of shady relief thanks to the many ironwood trees strewn around the sand.
