Good Beach in or near Kula


Description: The gorgeous Hamoa Beach is surrounded by rich flora and looming cliffs, and is known as one of the best beaches in Hawaii. Unfortunately, as beautiful as it is, the currents are extremely powerful and there are no protective reefs to break the surf and you have to be extremely careful when entering the water. Summer and fall are usually good times for swimming, but be aware of the postings that keep visitors up to date on the status of the sea. There are no lifeguards here, so enter at our own risk. Hamoa is a great spot for a family picnic, so bring the kids and some lunch and admire the spectacular view.
