Good Beach in or near Kilauea

Description: Resting on Kauai's north shore is Hanalei Bay, rated one of the top ten beaches by Dr. Beach. It is often considered to be the most magnificent beach in Hawaii. With pure white sand backed by deep green mountains engulfed in silvery mists and breathtaking waterfalls, Hanalei Bay is paradise on earth. It is sandwiched between the Waipa and the Hanalei Rivers and stretches for two miles from end to end. The bay contains pink coral reefs and is perfect for any water sport you might want, including swimming, boating, surfing and kayaking. The bay is excellent for surfing and draws quite a crowd of those more serious in the sport. No matter what your interests, you will not be disappointed.
