US cruises

US cruises are some of the best in the world. You should be able to realize very quickly exactly why they are so successful. Firstly, they are very convenient. For someone who wants to go on a cruise, travelling to get to the place where the cruise liner will leave from is always a drag.

If that departure point can be within the United States then that makes it all the better and ensures that you can quickly be on your way on the cruise with out having to travel many thousands of miles or for many days just to get to your destination. Cruises in and around New Zealand or Australia have this working against them, but US cruises allow passengers to very quickly be on their way, enjoying a cruise and relaxing rather than spending many hours navigating security in a foreign land or being forced to endure many different flight transfers and all the potential for delays that they entail. On US cruises there are a huge range of places that you can visit. Firstly, there's two different coasts you can visit.

On the East Coast you have got the choice of the New England cruises, the Florida cruises that perhaps take in a visit to the Florida keys, and then there's also the places that are inbetween the Carolinas, New York and Washington for example. Go in the right season and you'll find that the weather can be just as good as in the Caribbean, and in fact the climate in the Caribbean can sometimes be so overwhelming that people prefer to head to somewhere like the United States for a cruise. When cruising in the United States it's also an advantage that you'll be able to speak the language if you speak English. There will also be very well developed port cities and towns for you to explore, unlike the desert island ports where there is often little more than a hotel pool and a few shacks selling things that are over priced for the cruise passengers.

This simply doesn't happen so much on US cruises. You can also of course head to the West Coast. Here you can see the Big Sur from a completely different angle if you take a cruise around California.

You can see the notorious Alcatraz prison from a safe difference, or take an excursion to see the island prison from a little bit closer.
