Capt Alan W. "Rocky" Price is a retired commercial airline captain and USAF command pilot with over 20,000 flying hours. His flying experience includes the C130 (where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal in Viet Nam), the C141, MD88, L1011, DC8, B727, B737, B757, B767, B767ER, and the B777. He was one of two initial cadre pilot instructors chosen to present his airline's initial Crew Resource Management (CRM) program to over 7,000 pilots. Capt Price held a series of increasingly significant leadership positions for his airline: He led the CRM/Human Factors program; developed and presented the new captain's leadership program; and was Chief Pilot at the world's largest pilot base (with over 3,300 assigned pilots) during "911". Captain Price is the founder of Falcon Leadership, a consulting group specializing in programs focused on crisis leadership, risk assessment, strategic planning, teamwork and communications.
