Millions of dollars worth of malaria drugs is believed to have been stolen, according to confidential documents obtained by the Associated Press.

The global health fund discovered the theft which has occurred during recent years, even more so than it previously believed.

Global Fund to Fight AIDS made the discovery in an internal investigation; they found that millions of dollars worth of drugs used to fight Malaria and Tuberculosis may have been stolen, although it has only confirmed the theft of $2.5 million worth of medicine.

The documents obtained by the Associated Press were provided to by an anonymous source working in a different health organization. His anonymity has been granted given the confidentiality of the documents.
