A 19-year-old girl who was reported missing after telling her parents she was going to a music festival has been found in Texas. She had reportedly told her close friends that she was in Waco, Texas and was eventually found in a truck at a distribution warehouse on Wednesday night (20th April).

Andrea Adame had told her parents that she was going to the Coachella Music Festival which is held in Indio, Calif for the weekend.

Her parents grew concerned after not returning following the end of the music festival, prompting them to report her as missing to the police.

Instead the 19-year-old had hitch-hiked a ride to Texas from various willing truck drivers.

The teen, who had last been seen on the 14th April after texting her parents informing them she was making her way to the music festival.

Reports suggest that she had offered no explanation as to why she had lied about her whereabouts, although police are said to be following up the matter within the next few days, as Andrea is an adult and deemed mentally stable, she wasn’t able to be taken into police custody.

The family are now planning on brining her back to California.
